How much does the tour cost?

Our tours are priced at £30 per person, with different rates available on request for private bookings.

What do I get?

You will receive a guided walking tour of our venues in Manchester, including expert talks at each location, and up to 12 craft beer tastings.

How long will it last?

The tours usually last around three hours.

Where does it start and finish?

We start the tour at 1:30pm at Port Street Beer House in Northern Quarter, where our guide will meet you. Feel free to drop in beforehand to enjoy their range of beers. Our tour will finish on Thomas Street, also in Northern Quarter.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your booking confirmation email, an open-minded attitude towards our beers, and dress appropriately for the notorious Manchester weather!

How do I pay?

Will I get email confirmation?

You will receive an email to confirm your booking when placed through our website.

Are children allowed?

Unfortunately, no under 18s can take part in the tour.

Will I need ID?

If you are lucky enough to look under 25 then you will be required to show ID to both us and our venues.

Do you offer private tours?

We can offer a private tour for your group or business. Please contact us to find out more.

How much walking is there?

There will be just over one mile of walking, broken down into smaller segments. Most of the walking covers a flat area.

Do I need to be a beer expert?

Absolutely not! As long as you are willing to enjoy a variety of beers then you do not need to be any sort of expert.

I love beer but my friend doesn’t, can you offer them a different drink?

We can offer soft drinks and cider at some venues, but a full priced ticket will still need to be purchased.

Are large groups such as stag and hen parties welcome?

We only welcome well-behaved stag and hen groups, and urge all to consider that there will be other guests on the tour. We also offer private tours for large groups.

Is food available on the tour?

Unfortunately no food is available at the moment.

Will you operate in all weather conditions?

Yes! Please be aware that the weather in Manchester can throw up anything but we will continue to operate so dress appropriately.

Can I show up on the day without a reservation?

We strongly advise that you book in advance. In the unlikely event that there is space on the day, we will accept guests without reservations. If you are unsure, please contact us to confirm availability.

How do I find the meeting point?

Our meeting point is in Port Street Beer House, 39-41 Port Street, Manchester, M1 2EQ. If walking from Piccadilly Gardens, head north-east on Newton Street, turn right on Hilton Street, then left on to Port Street. The venue is on the left-hand side.

Is it easily walkable from public transport?

Yes. Tram and bus stops are located in Piccadilly Gardens, and our final stop on the tour is less than five minutes from the Shudehill Interchange

How many people will be on the tour?

We can accommodate up to 20 people on the tour.
